Excessive sweating in women and men

Treatment options for excessive and heavy sweating

Sweating is a normal process for regulating the body’s heat balance. In the case of excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, the sweat glands are overactive and produce more sweat than necessary. This can lead to problems such as insecurity and isolation.

Around 3% of the population suffers from hyperhidrosis, with 51% affected in the armpits. There are two types of hyperhidrosis: secondary hyperhidrosis, which is caused by illness or medication, and primary hyperhidrosis, where there is no identifiable cause. Treatment of primary hyperhidrosis can significantly improve the quality of life. It is recommended to approach the therapy gradually.

Which regions can be treated?

Primary hyperhidrosis mainly affects the hands, armpits, soles of the feet or in the facial area. Most of the so-called eccrine sweat glands are located in these areas. The eccrine sweat glands are located superficially and regulate the heat balance.

Surgical removal of the sweat glands (armpit)

The surgical removal of sweat glands in the armpits is performed by suction using Microaire® vibration technology, which permanently removes the glands. A second treatment may be necessary if not all glands have been completely removed in the first session.

Our comprehensive treatment concept combines innovative technologies with proven methods to effectively rejuvenate and care for your skin.
