The majority of patients interested in aesthetic surgery often ask themselves the same questions: What is the result? Which implant size and shape fits my body best? How much fat can be removed? Does the new nose fit my face? Using modern 3-D photo technology, patients can get a preliminary impression of what the result might look like on themselves after an aesthetic procedure.
How does the 3D simulation work?
During the consultation, we offer all our patients who are interested in an aesthetic procedure the possibility of using this 3D simulation technology to visualize the expected result of the treatment.
With the help of a 3D infrared sensor, images of the desired region are taken and in a few seconds this is reproduced in three dimensions using special software. Subsequently, the surgeon can then use various simulation tools to achieve the change desired by the patient.
What are the advantages of 3D simulation?
A 3D simulation will give you a better idea of the expected result of the treatment and whether your expectations are realistic. You will get an impression of how the shape, size and placement of the implant and scarring can influence the result of the operation. For body contouring procedures, you can estimate how much fat volume can realistically be removed and what the result might look like afterwards.
For which treatments can a 3D simulation be performed?
The 3D simulation can be used for the following procedures or treatments. Breast augmentation, breast reduction or breast lift, body contouring procedures (high-definition liposculptures), facial surgery (nose correction, chin correction, eyelid surgery, face and neck lift) or facial treatments (botulinum, fillers, peelings, hydrafacial treatments).
How realistic is a 3D simulation?
This simulation shows a possible result 12 months after surgery. However, the simulation is not a guarantee of the final surgical result, but a visual representation for the surgical goal. The final surgical results of individual operations may differ from the simulation.
What are the costs of a 3D simulation?
The 3D simulation is included in the treatment fee of CHF 250 and can be credited back to you with a self-pay portion if you have surgery within 6 months of the consultation appointment.
