Mesotherapy is another name for skin rejuvenation using a regenerating substance. Anti-ageing mesotherapy is an intensive revitalising and moisturising treatment. The treatment is ideal for moisturising dry, thin skin, for light (wrinkled) wrinkles and acne scars, hair loss, thinning hair or enlarged pores. Vitalising active ingredients such as vitamins and amino acids or even your own blood can be used for mesotherapy.

How does mesotherapy work?

A fine needle is used to introduce restorative, firming and revitalizing active ingredients into the skin. These include: Hyaluronic acid, vitamins, fatty acids, co-enzymes, trace elements, antioxidants, amino acids and minerals.

This provides the tissue and skin with targeted moisture and nutrients. Tired and sagging areas of the face and body radiate freshness and vitality again – in a natural way. The treatment is carried out with the finest needles available on the market and is barely noticeable.

What do I have to consider before the treatment?

Avoid increased sun exposure one week before the treatment. On the day of treatment, clean the face sufficiently and do not apply makeup, sunscreen, cosmetic products or lotion.

What is the course of treatment?

An anesthetic cream can be used before the treatment to make the treatment more comfortable. Mesotherapy can also be combined with local anesthesia, which also improves blood circulation and metabolic absorption.

The injection is then carried out under sterile conditions using very fine needles directly into the dermis or epidermis. The treatment lasts approx. 20 minutes and is followed by a cooling mask. Everyday activities can be carried out seamlessly afterwards.

Which active ingredients are introduced?

The active ingredient cocktail Fillmed NCTF 135 HA by Filorga contains hyaluronic acid and 59 skin-rejuvenating ingredients (vitamins, amino acids, co-enzymes, nucleic acids and minerals). The skin is thus holistically nourished.

Recommended are min. 3 applications at intervals of 2-3 weeks, then 2 applications at intervals of 4 weeks. The therapies can be repeated individually and as often as desired.

Which regions can be treated with mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is ideal for the following areas: face, neck, back of the hands, décolleté area and the inside of the arms. The treatment is also suitable for stimulating scalp hair growth, treating cellulite, or pronounced stretch marks.

Can mesotherapy be combined with other treatments?

Mesotherapy can easily be combined with other aesthetic treatments to enhance the effect. However, a botulinum treatment should be performed two weeks before mesotherapy. Peeling, radiofrequency microneedling or filler treatments could be performed directly after mesotherapy.

What do I have to pay attention to after the treatment?

After the treatment, the skin is particularly receptive to nourishing active ingredients. Ideally, the skin should be treated with a good moisturizer (e.g. Serum 10 or Daily Moisture from SKINCEUTICALS) the following day. The puncture sites close completely within minutes.

This means that make-up or powder can be used again after 2-3 hours. However, exposure to the sun should be avoided for several days and the use of a daily sunscreen (e.g. Sheer Mineral UV Defense SPF 50 from SKINCEUTICALS) is generally recommended. Sauna and circulatory stress should be avoided for 24 hours.

What are the risks of treatment?

There may be a slight reddening, but this disappears completely after a few hours. Slight pain may occur in rare cases after the treatment. Swelling and redness can be treated efficiently with local cooling or Arnica globules during the first 24 hours. Allergic reactions are very rare and can be prevented in the in-depth consultation.

Who is not suitable for treatment?

You should not perform mesotherapy if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and you should postpone treatment if you have active infections, skin or immune disorders, or are taking blood-thinning medications. Inform us if you are taking medications, have allergies or have cold sores.

As with any injection treatment, we recommend that you avoid excessive alcohol consumption and vigorous exercise 24 hours prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

When will I see the result and how long will the effect last?

The results are immediately visible, your skin looks fresh and vital. The final result unfolds after 6 – 8 weeks. In the case of scars and stretch marks or hair loss, the results are long-lasting.

How often does the treatment have to be carried out?

The duration of action of the injected active ingredient cocktail depends, among other things, on the substances used and the individual skin condition. An improvement in the condition of the skin can be seen and felt for a few months after several sessions.

Afterwards, refresher treatments can help to maintain the result. It is generally recommended to carry out one treatment per week for a total of 4-6 weeks. A refresher treatment can be carried out after 4-5 months and varies from person to person.

What are the costs for mesotherapy?

The costs of the treatments vary depending on the effort, number of sessions and are discussed with the patient before the treatment. Prices start from CHF 500 for one treatment.

Since the procedure is an aesthetic treatment, health insurance companies usually do not cover the applications. We will be happy to provide you with a non-binding offer after a consultation. Contact PD Dr. Tremp for your questions.
