PD Dr. Mathias Tremp explains what is meant by this and for whom the applications are suitable: In principle, liposuction is suitable for a slimmer body contour and if there is good skin elasticity. The treatment is not suitable for weight loss. So-called “high definition” body contouring refers to a defined body shape such as a “six pack”, accentuated pectoral muscles or sculpted upper arms. This may involve a combination of liposuction and fat grafting.

Body contouring is performed using the Vaser® technique, an ultrasound-assisted method of liposuction (VASER LIPO®). The ultrasound breaks up fat cells so that they can be suctioned out more easily using microcannulas. This technique also results in skin tightening and allows the liposuctioned fat to be reused for transplants. The procedure is safe and gentle on nerves, blood vessels and tissue structures.

Nutritional optimization with arnica, omega-3 fatty acids and probiotics is recommended before and after the procedure. To support the tightening of the tissue and loosening of scar tissue, radiofrequency or ultrasound treatments are advisable both before and after the operation, which you can undergo at our facility. It is also necessary to wear compression garments for a period of eight weeks.

“The art of plastic surgery is to alter and shape the anatomy to achieve the best possible, natural and harmonious result.”

The results of liposuction are permanent as long as the body weight remains stable, as removed fat cells do not grow back. After fat grafting, around 40% of the transferred fat dissolves in the first three months, the rest remains permanently.

For women, body contouring of the hips, abdomen, buttocks and arms can lead to optimal results. For men, the chest muscles or “six-pack” can be emphasized with Vaser® technology/Renuvion® J Plasma or autologous fat treatment.

The 3D simulation before aesthetic procedures gives patients an idea of the expected treatment result.
