Wrinkles around the eyes or mouth often appear at a young age – with the CO₂ fractional laser, we can make your face glow again. The eCO2 Plus laser is the most modern CO2 skin resurfacing laser. It offers a faster full spectrum treatment that penetrates deeper into the skin for better results and a more youthful, radiant appearance.

This system combines two effective technologies in one treatment method. The penetration of the laser into the dermis immediately promotes the production of collagen, which rejuvenates the dermis layer, reduces and removes scars, smoothes the skin structure and ensures long-lasting skin tightening results. Years of sun damage and skin ageing can be significantly reduced with just one treatment.

How does the eCO2 Plus™ work?

eCO2 Plus™ from Lutronic is a combination of CO₂ laser and fractional procedure. This means that the laser combines the removal of the uppermost cell layers (so-called ablative skin removal) with a so-called fractional technique. Wrinkles on the face, neck and décolleté as well as on the upper arms or thighs can be effectively reduced.

In this “fractional” method, many tiny holes are deliberately lasered into the surface of the skin, with each lasered skin point surrounded by untreated areas of skin. This promotes a rapid healing process. The upper layer of skin is removed selectively, the deep effect of the laser heats the lower layer of skin, stimulating the connective tissue and building up new collagen and thus tightening the skin.

What are the advantages of the CO2 laser?

Treatment with the eCO2 Plus™ laser takes very little time. Depending on the treatment area, a session only takes around 10 – 15 minutes. Another advantage is the short healing time with a relatively short downtime. Side effects are rare and initial changes in the appearance of the skin are already visible after the first treatment.

Is the CO2 laser painful?

Before laser therapy, a local anesthetic cream is applied to the relevant area so that the treatment is hardly painful.

What is the CO2 laser treatment procedure?

Depending on the treated area and size, a typical treatment session lasts between 10 and 30 minutes.

How long is the downtime?

Mild swelling and redness usually occur after a treatment and last for about 2-5 days. More intensive treatments can cause redness that lasts 1-2 weeks. In most cases, however, normal activities can be resumed just 5 days after treatment.

What do I need to consider before the CO2 laser treatment?

In the three weeks before laser treatment, you should protect your skin from direct sunlight and choose a sun cream with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50). Even freshly tanned skin is not suitable for laser treatment. This applies to both solarium-tanned skin and a natural tan.

What do I have to consider after the CO2 laser treatment?

After the laser treatment, you should cool the affected area and treat it with a special skin care product. You should protect the treatment area from direct sunlight and use a sun cream with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50) for approx. 3 weeks. You should refrain from physical activity for approx. 5 days.

What can be treated with the CO2 laser?

The eCO2 Plus™ is a great tool for reducing the appearance of

  • Wrinkles and deep furrows on the face, neck and décolleté
  • Scars
  • Skin discoloration
  • Sun damage
  • Spots and enlarged pores
  • Also helps to improve the skin tone around the eyelids, cheeks and neck
  • Flabby upper arms and legs

Can additional treatments be carried out?

Minimally invasive eCO2™ treatments are often combined with autologous blood or exosomes to shorten the healing time and achieve better results. Exosomes or Healite (HEALITE II™) can also be used to alleviate discomfort after treatment and enable faster recovery.

Healite is the therapeutic use of incident light to photomodulate cellular function to improve healing times, relieve pain, soothe active acne and promote skin rejuvenation.

How many treatments are necessary?

As a rule, several sessions are required for an optimal result. The exact number depends on the initial condition of the skin and the treatment area. As a rule, at least 4-5 sessions (more sessions are recommended for particularly deep scars) at intervals of 4-5 weeks. In most cases, the optimum result is achieved after around 5-6 months.

What are possible alternatives to CO2 laser treatment?

Several options are available for skin resurfacing (treatment of wrinkles, pigmentation, skin rejuvenation), including CO2 fractional laser and chemical peels. Both treatments aim to remove damaged or ageing skin cells to reveal fresher, smoother skin.

Although laser resurfacing is not a substitute for a facelift or upper eyelid lift, the laser not only tightens the skin slightly, but also improves the appearance of wrinkles and skin pigmentation, skin texture and a variety of scars.

In addition, radiofrequency microneedling can be used to tighten and treat medium to deep undulating scars and hypertrophic scars. The treatment of all vascular changes in all skin types can be combined with an Nd:YAG and KTP laser.

What are the risks and possible side effects of CO2 laser treatment?

Pigment shifts (darkening and lightening) may occur if strict sun protection is not observed after treatment. In rare cases and with very sensitive skin, tiny veins may appear during wound healing, which can be treated with a combined Nd:YAG and KTP laser.

The development of a herpes infection is also a very rare side effect. We therefore recommend oral herpes prophylaxis for 5 days for large treatment areas.

What are the costs?

The cost of a treatment is agreed in advance and starts from CHF 200. It is important to note that results can vary from person to person, and the consultation is crucial to determine the best treatment options for your individual needs.

Payment is made directly after the treatment, preferred payment options are cash, Maestro or credit card (incl. Mastercard, VISA and American Express) or Postcard. Unfortunately, we do not accept payment in installments or by invoice.
