Microneedling with radiofrequency is a minimally invasive treatment method that combines two effective technologies. While classic microneedling works with fine needles that penetrate the uppermost layer of the skin to stimulate collagen production, radiofrequency uses targeted heating of the skin. The combination of both methods visibly improves and tightens the skin structure.

Microneedling with radiofrequency is the new power combo for better skin and tightening. The treatment is suitable for wrinkles on the face, neck, décolleté or stretch marks due to pregnancy, cellulite, refinement of acne scars, pore treatment or treatment of excessive sweating.

How does microneedling with radiofrequency work?

Due to the mechanical and thermal stimulation, the skin tightening is done in a very gentle way, the recovery is 1 to 2 days. The treatment is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin typeI-IV.

What do I have to consider before the treatment?

Avoid increased sun exposure one week before the treatment. In addition, a retinol treatment should be paused one week before. On the day of treatment, cleanse the face sufficiently and do not apply make-up, sunscreen, cosmetic products or lotion.

How does the treatment feel?

During the treatment you will feel a sensation of warmth as well as pressure. With local anaesthesia, the treatment is usually well tolerated. If necessary, a local nerve block can be performed with local anaesthesia.

How long does the treatment take and how long is the downtime?

Depending on the treatment area, the treatment lasts 15 to 45 minutes. After the treatment there is a slight redness and swelling which usually disappears after 24 – 36 hours. It can take up to a week for the swelling and redness to disappear completely.

How often does the treatment have to be carried out?

The treatment should be repeated 2 to 4 times at least 4 weeks apart. To maintain success, the treatment should be refreshed every 6 to 12 months.

After the treatment, you should refrain from using an alcohol-based tonic for a fortnight. We can give you a light cream containing cortisone and antibiotics to reduce swelling. You should avoid excessive physical activity, sauna or sun exposure for one week. Use sunscreen SPF 50+. Any treatment with retinol can be resumed after one week.

When will I see the result?

A clear difference is typically visible 6-8 weeks after the last treatment, ideally 2-3 treatments are recommended with a subsequent annual maintenance treatment.

What are the costs for microneedling treatments?
