When calling up our WEBSITE, the user is informed about the use of cookies for analysis purposes and his consent to the processing of personal data used in this context is obtained. In this context, there is also a reference to this privacy policy. The use of interactive offers is only possible with cookies.

The purpose of using technically necessary cookies is to simplify the use of websites for users. Some functions of our WEBSITE cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these, it is necessary that the browser is recognized even after changing the website. The use of the analysis cookies is additionally for the purpose of improving the quality of our WEBSITE and its contents. 5. How do we use web Analytics Technologies?

We use so-called web analysis or tracking technologies to constantly improve our Internet offering. Depending on the provider of the web analysis tool, their servers may be located abroad. See also “Sharing your data” below.

We mainly use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To disable Google Analytics, Google provides a browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site (see above). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this WEBSITE (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the WEBSITE, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google and will only pass it on to us in anonymized form.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Google complies with the Privacy Shield and is registered with the Privacy Shield program of the U.S. Department of Commerce and uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our WEBSITE, to compile reports for us in this regard and to provide other related services to us. To learn more, please visit https://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. By using this WEBSITE, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

We also use Google AdWords, an analysis service from Google, and conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. Google AdWords places a cookie for conversion tracking on the hard drive of your computer (so-called “conversion cookie”) when you click on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our WEBSITE, Google and we can recognize that you have clicked on the ad and have been redirected to this page.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, via a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies – or set your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.

The information obtained with the help of conversion cookies is used to create statistics. Through these statistics, we learn the total number of users who clicked on the ad placed by Google and accessed a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag.

In addition to conversion tracking, we also use the functions

  • Remarketing
  • Target groups with common interests
  • User-defined target groups with common interests
  • Target groups ready to buy
  • similar target groups
  • demographic and geographic focus.

With the remarketing function of Google and other providers, we reach users who have already visited our WEBSITE. This allows us to present our advertising to target groups that are already interested in our products or services. AdWords also determines which common interests and characteristics users of our WEBSITE have based on user behavior on websites in Google’s advertising network (“Display Network”) over the last 30 days and with the help of the contextual search engine. Based on this information, AdWords then finds new potential customers for marketing purposes whose interests and characteristics are similar to those of the users of our WEBSITE. The target group-specific remarketing is carried out through the combined use of cookies, e.g. Google Analytics cookies and Google DoubleClick cookies.

6. Social Media

A. We use social media to showcase our work through common and current communication channels. Each social media has its own policies according to which your personal data is processed when you visit its pages. For example, if you watch one of our videos on YouTube, you must explicitly agree to accept cookies on the YouTube page. The same applies to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, XING and LinkedIn. If you have any concerns or questions about the use of your personal information, you should carefully read the privacy policies of these services before using them. B. Plug-ins from various providers such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ are integrated on our pages. The plug-ins are marked with the logo of the provider and can be, for example, Like buttons or a Google+ button or Twitter button (as an example, you can find an overview of plug-ins from Facebook here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/). When you visit our pages, a direct connection between your browser and the provider is established via the plug-in. The corresponding provider thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. We would like to point out that we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or of its use by the corresponding provider. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing of your data by the provider, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the privacy notices of the providers.

7. Disclosure of Your Data

By using the WEBSITE and its services, the user agrees that his/her data may be transmitted to and processed by third parties. This may be done not only to fulfill the purpose stated by him, but also for reasons of group-wide accounting, reporting, optimization of IT services and marketing. In doing so, we ensure compliance with the principles of Swiss data protection law or an equivalent level of protection abroad. Irrespective of whether we ourselves or other companies in the Group store and/or process the user’s data, their employees may only view or process the data if this is necessary for the performance of their duties in the Group company.

We may also disclose your personal data to third parties in order to use technical or organizational services that we need to fulfill the aforementioned purposes or our other business activities. Our service providers are contractually obligated to process the personal data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. We also require our service providers to comply with technical and organizational measures that ensure the protection of personal data. If the service providers are located in countries where the applicable laws do not provide for a level of protection of personal data comparable to Swiss law, we will contractually ensure that the service providers in question comply with the Swiss level of data protection.

We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so to comply with applicable laws and regulations, in the event of legal proceedings, at the request of the competent courts and authorities, or as otherwise required by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect and defend our rights or property.

All stored personal data will – as soon as they are no longer needed for the purposes for which they were collected, the user contract has ended or you request this – be deleted immediately and irretrievably, unless we are obliged to retain them by law. Aggregated or anonymized data that does not reveal the user may, however, be used for internal purposes.

9. How do we protect your data?

We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by external service providers working for us. During unencrypted transmission on an open network (for example, when you send us messages or other information), data can be read, modified or destroyed by unauthorized third parties. Any transmission of data to or from the WEBSITE is therefore at the user’s own risk.

10. What rights do i have?

You are entitled to request information about your stored personal data at any time. In addition, you may at any time request the correction, transfer, partial or complete deletion and blocking of individual personal data from the controller, provided that this request does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations. Furthermore, under certain conditions, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

You may also exercise your right to object to data processing at any time without giving reasons.

You can revoke your consent to the offer of information and advertising via newsletter or the registration for other services at any time in the respective newsletter or on the other registration page.
