Buttock lift

Buttock lift

Are the results of the buttock lift permanent?

After a surgical buttock lift, a new, discrete lowering may occur in the course of the years afterwards.

Brazilian Butt Lift

If the so-called “Brazilian Butt Lift” was performed, i.e. buttock enlargement and tightening with autologous fat treatment, then a certain percentage of the fat injection will dissolve again 3 – 6 months after the operation. However, the result afterwards is stable and remains for life.

Buttock optimization with collagen stimulation

Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is a collagen-stimulating injectable for smoothing, shaping and sculpting the buttocks. This innovative filler activates natural collagen porduction and creates volume that optimizes the curves and contours of your body. The resulting volume is therefore particularly long-lasting.

After a short waiting period of around a few weeks, the natural-looking results gradually become visible and last for up to two years. In particular, dents and cellulite can be reduced. Depending on the area and your body’s reaction, you will need two to three sessions 4-6 weeks apart to achieve the desired volume. The treatment is virtually painless and is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia.

What requirements do I have to fulfil as a patient for the Brazilian Butt Lift?

If you are a smoker, you must stop smoking 4 weeks before and after the procedure. Regular check-ups are required after the procedure.

For optimal wound healing, you need to wear a special compression girdle for 6 – 8 weeks. You can resume physical activity after 4 weeks. Brazilian Butt Lift fat can be taken from anywhere and is possible even for slim patients.

Did the scars of the buttock lift remain visible?

The scars are placed so that they are not visible in a bikini or underwear. If the Brazilian Butt Lift has been performed, the scars are barely visible after one year and are only dot-shaped 4 – 5 mm in size through the puncture sites.

What are the risks of a surgical buttock lift?

Possible risks are infections, haematoma or widened scarring (1-2 %). The greatest risk in treatment with autologous fat is so-called thrombosis, i.e. vascular occlusion caused by the autologous fat.

To avoid this, the autologous fat treatment is not injected into the muscle but into the fat tissue. After the operation there is a temporary feeling of numbness, which usually recovers after 6 months.

How long does the surgical procedure take, when can I return to work and sport?

The procedure takes about 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the findings and the desired result of the operation. The inability to work is about 10 – 14 days, after 4 weeks you can resume light physical activity.

When does the insurance cover part of the operation costs?

Health insurance very rarely covers the cost of the procedure, occasionally for patients after significant weight loss. Treatment with autologous fat is a cosmetic procedure and must be paid for by the patient.
