For firm, slim upper arms

Along with the thighs, upper arms are one of the parts of the body that are not permanently in view. A firm upper arm with slender contours contributes significantly to the overall appearance of the body. However, even young, athletic people can suffer from localised skin sagging and fat deposits in the area of the upper arms.

Excess skin, sagging tissue and wrinkles are found on the upper arm especially after massive weight loss or in cases of hereditary connective tissue weakness. Sagging upper arms often lead not only to aesthetic discomfort, but also to typical symptoms of discomfort with inflammatory changes in the excess skin folds due to rubbing of the inner side of the upper arm against the trunk, for example during physical activity.

In the case of a slightly pronounced shape, pure circular liposuction is sufficient. In this case, fat tissue is removed using a gentle method (vibration technique, Microaire®) and thus the upper arm is tightened.

Our comprehensive treatment concept combines innovative technologies with proven methods to effectively rejuvenate and care for your skin.

Tightening for pronounced shape
If the skin is very saggy, liposuction with subsequent tightening is recommended as the first step. Depending on the excess skin, an incision is made in the armpit region or along the upper arm.
I-technique for upper arm lift
For smaller tissue excesses, a hidden vertical incision running from the armpit to the elbow on the inside of the upper arm is often sufficient to tighten the excess skin and remove the excess fatty tissue. The incision line is placed in the area of the inner side of the upper arm so that the suture lines are as far as possible neither visible from the front nor from the back.
T-technique for upper arm lift
In the case of larger tissue excess, this incision line can be supplemented by a horizontal incision in the area of the armpit. These additional suture lines should also be as far as possible neither visible from the front nor from the back. Excess skin tissue is selectively removed and the remaining skin soft tissue mantle is tightened circularly (around the upper arm) in this way. In this way, the reshaping of a well-proportioned upper arm is carried out under constant control of a taut upper arm contour. The special tissue-conserving and gentle surgical method enables a tension-free suture in the invisible area on the inside of the upper arm after removal of the excess tissue.
Surgery, ability to work, risks and aftercare
Depending on the amount of skin and fatty tissue to be removed, the upper arm lift can be performed either under local or general anaesthesia. Complications and adverse events such as infections or nerve injuries after an upper arm lift are very rare. Occasionally, there may be temporary swelling in the forearm and hand area in the first few days after the operation. Numbness after surgery usually recovers after 6 to 12 months. Very rarely, the suture may open again. A customised upper arm compression waistcoat should be worn within the first 4 weeks to support wound healing and contouring of the upper arm shape. Showering is already possible from the 2nd day after the operation.
Costs
The costs include all measures such as preliminary discussion, operation, anaesthesia and follow-up checks, excluding overnight stay and compression garments. In case of multiple procedures, there is a price reduction of 20% on the 2nd procedure.
